For the 33rd time, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Central Switzerland IHZ recognizes a project with its innovation prize. Thermoplan proudly accepts this award for the Mastrena II project, the newest generation of Starbucks’ coffee machines. «With this customer-focused new development of an own innovation Thermoplan not only brought together digitalization, assembly and design in an international environment but has also positioned itself to be a reliable innovation partner», according to IHZ.
The award was presented in one of Thermoplan’s production halls during a festive ceremony on 10 December 2019. Also recognized for their innovation were Flo-ir ltd. for their development of a capsule testing system and Tschopp Holzbau AG for the BRESTA Accoustic Gentle.
To honour the projects three dignitaries were invited to recognize each innovation. For Thermoplan it was a great honour to welcome Kelly Bengston, Starbucks’ senior vice president and chief procurement officer, for the laudatory speech in Weggis. Kelly Bengston highlighted the importance of the project and the Mastrena II as it is a core element of the Starbucks stores worldwide: «We are very proud of the partnership we have with Thermoplan!»
A proud and overwhelmed Adrian Steiner accepted the award on behalf of Thermoplan’s staff in front of a large audience and the founding couple Esther and Domenic Steiner. «A project like the Mastrena II project can only be realized when everyone in the team does their part. Thank you».
