Swiss Quality Coffee Equipment

At Thermoplan, we develop and produce fully automatic coffee machines for professional use, whether for the catering industry or other businesses. We stand for the highest Swiss quality. As a family business, we are globally active and supply customers in over 80 countries. We achieve this together with our more than 200 certified sales and service partners worldwide. At our headquarters in Weggis, in the canton of Lucerne, we employ over 500 people.
The commitment to the quality label «Made in Switzerland» is more than a promise for our employees at Thermoplan - it is a matter of the heart. The Swiss coat of arms in our logo symbolises our pride in Switzerland as a production location. Because Thermoplan is a Swiss made company through and through: We manufacture our fully automatic coffee machines in Weggis, with around 80 percent of the components used coming from domestic production.

Innovative Technology

From procurement to production

Thermoplan combines technology and craftsmanship at the highest level. Our procurement and manufacturing process is automated. We live Industry 4.0.

Since the beginning of 2020, we have been operating a fully automated shuttle warehouse at our Weggis site with nine kilometres of automated conveyor technology in the shuttle warehouse and one kilometre in the plant. 94 «Stingrays» on 23 levels with around 40,500 material storage locations deliver all machine components to the respective workstations in production. Our photovoltaic system on the roof provides the necessary electricity for the warehouse.

unique - the fifth plant

A new building with an inviting café

In June 2024, Thermoplan opened its fifth plant, the new building unique. The building with production and office space was constructed in just 960 days using the latest technologies.

In the entrance area there is a cozy café where our team comes up with new drink and snack creations for you every day and coffee enjoyment is by no means neglected.

A central market with great importance is Germany. In 1998, Thermoplan Deutschland GmbH, based in Hockenheim, was founded to strengthen sales and services for the German and Austrian markets.
