It’s a wrap: This was the WLAC 2026!
From April 10 to 12, the World Latte Art Championship 2026 brought together top baristas, industry professionals, and coffee enthusiasts from around the world, turning the competition into an experience that went far beyond the stage.
Thermoplan once again participated as the official machine partner, ensuring consistently high performance with the Black&White4 Competizione. Under competitive pressure and in front of an international audience, the world’s best latte artists demonstrated just how much technique and expression can be captured in a single cup.
The focus went beyond clean lines and precise contrast, highlighting creative concepts and individual styles. From classic motifs to complex, free-form designs, each performance told its own story, making the competition a true showcase of both visual artistry and craftsmanship.
A new world champion from Taiwan
This year, Bala from Taiwan claimed the title with outstanding skill and artistry. His performances impressed with clarity, innovation, and remarkable composure under pressure. A well-deserved victory, congratulations, Bala!
Beyond the competition stage, the event offered numerous highlights: in-depth professional discussions, fresh industry insights, and vibrant exchanges between experts and coffee enthusiasts. The international diversity and shared passion for coffee made these days in San Diego truly special.
A strong signal for the global coffee community
The World Latte Art Championship 2026 once again demonstrated how dynamic and inspiring the coffee world is. For Thermoplan, participating was a valuable opportunity to showcase innovation, quality, and partnership through direct engagement with the community.
We thank everyone involved for these memorable days and are already looking forward to the next World Latte Art Championship!
