After an intensive day of operation, it is important to shut down your machine properly and prepare it for the next day. The automatic cleaning function guides you through the process step by step. It is crucial that you do not leave any beans or coffee residue in the machine overnight, clean the bean containers thoroughly so that no oils or dirt are deposited, make sure that the steam arm - inside and out - is free of milk residue and clean all surfaces so that the machine looks like new again the next day.

Espresso that passes through too quickly often tastes thin or bitter. First check the freshness of the beans and clean the bean container. If necessary, carry out a cleaning cycle and test again.

A small leak can usually be located and repaired quickly. To do this, pour some cold water into the drip tray and observe where the water comes out. If it comes out at the front, the drip tray may not be sitting correctly - press it firmly into place. If the water comes out of the middle of the machine, the drain hose may be loose - check the connection and reattach it if necessary. If the drip tray fills up, the problem is probably with the main drain - check that the drain hose has a slope to the drain so that the water can drain properly.

Check that the bean container is inserted correctly and evenly. Remove any blocked beans and clean the container if necessary so that the machine recognizes it correctly.
