An espresso that runs through too quickly often tastes thin, bitter or sour and loses its effect in milk drinks. To solve the problem, you should first check whether the coffee is fresh - if not, replace it and prepare another espresso. Then check whether the bean container is clean and clean it thoroughly if necessary. If the problem persists, it may help to run the machine through the cleaning cycle once and then test it again.

Coffee runs too slowly (over 30 seconds)

Running the machine too slowly can have a negative effect on the taste and put unnecessary strain on the machine. First check whether the coffee beans are fresh and replace them if necessary. Next, you should thoroughly clean the bean container. If the coffee continues to flow too slowly, the outlet nozzle may be blocked - remove it and clean it with warm water. If this does not help either, it is advisable to run a cleaning cycle and then test again.

If it comes out at the front, the drip tray may not be sitting correctly - press it firmly into place. If the drip tray fills up, the problem is probably with the main drain - check that the drain hose has a gradient to the drain so that the water can drain properly.
