Chestnut Coffee Creme

Fall is finally here!

Chestnuts delight with their mild, nutty flavor, natural sweetness and creamy consistency - a real autumn treat!

You will need:

  • 250 g chestnuts (frozen)
  • 2 dl strong coffee
  • 50 g sugar
  • 0.5 dl milk
  • 100 g crème fraîche
  • 1.5 dl cream
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder

Preparation:

  1. Bring the chestnuts, coffee and sugar to the boil in a pan and simmer over a medium heat for about 15 minutes.
  2. As soon as they have cooled down, you can puree the chestnuts with the remaining liquid, milk and crème fraîche.
  3. Then whip the cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff and fold into the chestnut cream.
  4. Finally, pour into glasses and decorate with meringues and cocoa powder.
