You will need:
For the cold brew:
- 75 g coarsely ground coffee (light roast, e.g. Kenya Blossom)
- 1 l cold filtered water
For the drink:
Ice cubes
- 150 ml cold brew coffee
- 100 ml coconut milk (barista-style, for frothing)
- Toasted coconut flakes (for garnish)
Step 1 - Prepare the cold brew:
- Mix 75 g of coarsely ground coffee with 1 liter of cold, filtered water in a large glass or cold brew pot.
- Stir carefully so that all coffee powder particles are covered with water.
- Cover the mixture and place in the fridge. Leave to infuse undisturbed for 24 hours.
- After steeping, strain the cold brew through a fine mesh cloth filter or an integrated cold brew system.
Store in the fridge and consume within 5 days.
Step 2 - Preparing the drink:
- Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour approx. 150 ml of cold brew over the ice.
- Froth the coconut milk until it is light and creamy - use a steam nozzle, a hand frother or shake it in a sealed glass.
- Slowly pour the foamed coconut milk over the cold brew to create layers.
- Finally, sprinkle with toasted coconut flakes.
